Administrative Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Scheduling meetings and travel arrangements for CEO
- Manage Political Action Committee (PAC) events including check processing and record keeping
- Manage workflow ensuring that deadlines are met and work is completed correctly
- Generate memos, emails and reports when appropriate
- Assume responsibility for maintenance of office equipment, including computers, copy machines, postage machine, etc.
- Maintain office supplies by checking inventory and order items
- Maintain CRM for association
- Assist in website content management and social media platforms
- Respond to questions and requests for information
- Answer incoming calls and assume other receptionist duties as needed
- Assist with legislation tracking and monitoring
- Assist with event planning and execution
- Assist with Annual Association Membership Directory
- Other duties as required/requested
Experience/Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma with one to three years of administrative experience required, Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Mainly MS Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Knowledge of social media platforms (i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), Constant Contact, and Canva
- Experience with non-profit or legislative office, a plus
- Possess a high degree of professionalism, poise, and tact to facilitate and foster relationships with Association Members
- Knowledge of Albany political scene as well as state and local government
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner and work independently
